How to order a memorial plaque
You do not need to come to the workshop. You send the text and photos online, we agree the sketch by message, and the plaque is delivered in Ukraine or installed by our team.
Steps
Send what you have
The text, or at least the name and dates. A photo for the portrait. A photo of the wall. The date of the unveiling, if there is one. Use the chat on this site, Viber, Telegram or WhatsApp.
Get a sketch and a quote
Free of charge. The sketch shows the size, material, typeface and layout; the quote gives the amount and the lead time.
Revise and approve
We change the text, typeface and size until you say yes. We ask you to confirm the final text in writing, by message.
Production
Before engraving we check every name and date against the text you confirmed. A mistake in stone cannot be erased, so we check twice.
Delivery or installation
By Nova Poshta to any region of Ukraine, or our team brings and installs the plaque.
What to send for the first sketch
- Text. Full name, dates of birth and death, a few words. In Ukrainian if you can; if not, write in English and we will prepare the Ukrainian wording for you to approve.
- A photo for the portrait, if you want one. Several are better than one.
- A photo of the place. The wall straight on and from a distance.
- The date by which you need the plaque.
Permissions
Permission to install a plaque is obtained by the customer or by relatives in Ukraine: the consent of the building’s owner and a decision of the local council. We have not found a single nationwide procedure; each council sets its own rules. We supply the sketch with sizes, material and text that councils ask for.
Language of the inscription
Most plaques in Ukraine are in Ukrainian, and some cities require it: in Kyiv the text must be in Ukrainian only. A second language can be added below the Ukrainian text where local rules allow it.
Send the text and photos
For a first sketch three things are enough: the inscription, a photo for the portrait if you want one, and a photo of the wall. The sketch and quote are free.
