Types of memorial plaques
What we make, what usually goes on the plaque, and what to sort out in advance.
For a fallen soldier
Placed on the school they attended, the house where they lived or the place where they worked. A plaque usually carries a portrait, the full name and call sign, the dates of birth and death, the rank and unit with its emblem, and a few words from the family. A QR code leading to a memorial page can be engraved as well.
You will need the family’s consent to the text and photo, the consent of the building’s owner, and a decision of the local council. Each council in Ukraine sets its own procedure; we provide the sketch with sizes, material and text for the paperwork.
This site shows no close-up soldiers’ plaques with legible portraits and names: we do not publish them here without the families’ consent. We will send examples privately when you write to us.

For a school or a teacher
For a former pupil who was killed in the war, a teacher or head remembered by generations of pupils, or the person the school is named after. When there are several names, we make a series: the same size, material and typeface, so that a new plaque can be added later and look the same.
Schools and other institutions receive a contract, an invoice and an acceptance certificate; payment is by bank transfer after delivery.

For a building or an institution
“In this house lived and worked…”, “Here, in 1991, …”, “This building was erected in…”. We design the plaque for your wall and show it on a photo of the façade before anything is made.
Kyiv’s rules give a useful guide for placement: no higher than the ground floor, ideally 1.6–2.0 m above the ground and at least 0.5 m from decorative elements. If it is a listed building, the heritage authority has to approve the plaque.

For a church
About the consecration of the church and those who built it, for founders and donors, for a priest who served here. Light stone and sandstone suit church walls well; the cross, ornament and letters are carved into the stone.

A series for a community
Several plaques for school façades or a memorial walk are made as a series: one approved sample, one style, one contract. Ten plaques take up to 30 calendar days after the sample is approved. For procurement we provide a scale sketch, a technical description, a cost calculation and a commercial offer.

Send the text and photos
For a first sketch three things are enough: the inscription, a photo for the portrait if you want one, and a photo of the wall. The sketch and quote are free.
